First, open the cover of ANT ARTISTS and use the included plastic stick to make four holes (approximately 10mm deep) on the gel surface. This is to let the ants know that they can dig
in thegel.
Entice some ants to climb onto the rod and then, using the rod, help the ants through the hole in the side of your ANT ARTISTS colony.
As ants dislike staying in the sun for a long time, you should not leave ants in the sunlight for any extended period of time.
Usually, the ants will begin to work in 24 – 48 hours.
Every 10-15 days, while the ants are resting, you should open the plug to allow fresh air to enter.
Don’t place any food directly on the gel! Doing so will cause the gel to deteriorate and become moldy.
